Our designs for The Nomad Hotel DTLA, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, and RH New York have been recognized with the following regional and national awards, including being one of just one of nine projects recognized by Architectural Lighting.
This 90,000 SF interior and exterior project in the heart of a historic neighborhood presented a unique challenge to juxtapose expanse and intimacy and create a sense of home through grandeur and warmth inside and out. A centralized dimming system creates levels as low as 20% with slow transitions from daytime to evening to night, and energy consumption far below code requirements, with loads of just 1.0W/sf despite the use of halogen sources.
This modern office is a reflection of the client’s progressive practice, where warm, indirect lighting creates a serene environment, redefining the dentist office experience. With a total LPD of 0.85W/SF, and a budget for lighting and controls limited to $10/SF, the design team practiced restraint at every turn, delivering a beautiful and functional design exceeding client expectations.
The spirit of Southern California meets old Hollywood glamour at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, where architecture, interiors, and lighting design work in harmony to provide an opulent hotel experience for its clientele. With design efforts beginning in 2012, the introduction of tunable-white lighting was ahead of its time; managing the evolution of the technology from specification to final install required a commitment from the design team that ultimately created a truly stunning hotel.
